Lorenza Tacos with Chipotle-Infused Sirloin and Avocado Salsa

To prepare the dish, thin slices of sirloin steak are marinated in a mixture of chipotle peppers, garlic, lime juice, and other seasonings to impart depth of flavor and tenderness. The steak is then grilled or cooked to your desired level of doneness.

  • 450 grams sirloin steaks
  • 1 tablespoon Gran Luchito Chipotle Paste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 100 grams of grated cheddar cheese
  • 6 Gran Luchito Soft Tacos
  • 1/2 sachet Gran Luchito Refried Beans

For the Avocado Salsa:

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 jar of Gran Luchito Tomatillo Salsa
  • 3 limes, cut into wedges
  • Handful of coriander


Marinate the Steaks:

  • Rub the sirloin steaks with Gran Luchito Chipotle Paste and olive oil.
  • Place the steaks in a shallow dish, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Prepare Avocado Salsa:

  • In a blender, combine avocado flesh, Gran Luchito Tomatillo Salsa, juice of 1/2 lime, salt, and pepper.
  • Blend until smooth and refrigerate the salsa until ready to use.

Preheat the Grill:

  • If using charcoal, allow 30 minutes for the desired heat. If using gas, preheat the grill to high and then reduce to medium heat.

Grill the Steaks:

  • Season the marinated steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until your preferred doneness.
  • Remove from the grill and let them rest on a cutting board for 6 to 7 minutes before cutting into small cubes.

Prepare Crispy Tacos:

  • Take the Gran Luchito Soft Tacos out of the packet.
  • Add a spoonful or two of refried beans to each taco, spreading them evenly.
  • Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the beans.
  • Place the tacos on the grill until the cheese melts, and the tortillas turn crispy.

Assemble Lorenza Tacos:

  • Drizzle the cubed sirloin with the remaining lime juice.
  • Remove the crispy tacos from the grill and place them on a serving platter.
  • Top with the cubed sirloin and garnish with cilantro.
